Persons with DH may want to be careful with topical products. Dr. Peter Green states in his book The Hidden Epidemic: "It is possible that these products (topical) contain ingredients that irritate broken skin, a common side effect of healing DH lotions."
It is generally recommended to only use gluten-free products on your lips, as that could get ingested.
Lancome has provided a list of gluten-containing ingredients that is used in their products. These would also apply to other product lines as well.
