"We understand the importance of gluten sensitivity. As a result, we do our best to provide accurate information so that you can make informed choices.

Oats themselves do not contain gluten. However, they are handled and transported in bulk with gluten-containing grains such as wheat, rye and barley. There is the possibility that our final product could contain trace amounts of these grains. This can occur if the oats are grown in fields or transported in vehicles that once contained these other grains.

Since the kernels of the other grains are similar in size, shape and color to the oat kernel, it is almost impossible to separate them. Therefore, we cannot guarantee any Quaker Oats to be gluten free. In fact, the only product we make which is gluten free is Aunt Jemima Syrup. We also believe the plain and lightly salted varieties of Quaker Rice Cakes to be safe for gluten sensitive consumers.
