San Diego Restaurants

Please use ordering as an opportunity to respectfully and patiently educate the staff of any restaurant one person at a time. And remember that taking the time to complement the chef/staff when they have done a great job for you furthers our cause in a very postive way.

Splash Restaurant

"Splash basically serves sandwiches, salads, beverages and a few snacks. The only gluten-free items offered there are those that are naturally gluten-free such as fresh fruit, milk, juice, soda, tea. The salads are not prepared in a designated gluten-free area so even those without croutons or other gluten-containing ingredients could not be guaranteed to be free of minute gluten cross-contact. Please feel free to contact me if you have further questions." Rebecca McDivitt, UCSD Registered Dietitian, 858-534-9587
Warning: The information given on this website about restaurants is to be used only as a resource guide. It is always recommended to check on cross-contamination issues, and to reconfirm with your wait staff and/or chef that an item is indeed gluten free. Restaurants are always changing in terms of ingredients used, menu items offered, preparation methods, and staff.
